~amethystxeyes won our ID contest, so here is her prize: a promotion of her work and style.


~amethystxeyes is a great collage artist, who creates alternate universes with pieces and pictures of the beautiful and the strange. It is always amazing to see what type of world she can create with just paper (and sometimes markers)…the colors, pictures and ideas all flow together and complement one other; every material used serves a purpose for the collage. That is always a challenge for collage artists (well, at least for me XD), determining how to place each picture so it all fits in together nicely, making sure the collage scene doesn’t feel clastraphobic and overwhelming by a cluster of pictures (even though collages ARE supposed to be a cluster of pictures…collages, however, have to contain some balance). she is also very creative with how she uses her resources. she will take a picture, and cut it and alter it to give it a completely different purpose. for example, she cut up pictures of roses, and created an outfit/suit out of them in her collage "1920." Her use of old and modern styles (like in "1920"), and many textures are always evident in her pieces, making them even more interesting!
